Native Tree Survey

              Room 4 made our own native tree survey's because we wanted to know how many native trees we have in our school and how many introduced trees. There are 12 more introduced trees than native trees.  Last week we went to see a christmas  play. So we made these thank you letters for gift a seat.

Last day of tennis

today was our last day of tennis. On the last day of tennis we played ghost. Ghost is a game where everyone is standing in a line and you have to try to hit the ball into the square. If you hit the ball into the square you are safe. But if you hit the ball out of the square you have to become a ghost and go to the other side of the net and try to catch the ball. Then if you catch the ball you have to swap with the other person. Then the game goes on and on until there is one more player. So then if the last player hits the ball into the square two times in a row without the ghost‘s catching it you win. But if the ghosts catch it then the ghosts win. I really liked the last day of tennis.

Horror story

Today Room 4 we’re doing story maker. We were making our own story’s. I made a horror story. In my story there were scorpions, snakes, a forest, a teacher, orange teeth, and a ghost. Nearly everyone else had a horror story to.

Athletics Day

In November 2019 PBS had our annual athletics day, and I want to tell you all about it.My three favourite activities were... Lily pads, Rob the nest, and Sponge relay. I liked Lily pads because you had to jump from one little circle to another. Then when you got to the other person you had to do rock, paper, scissors. My next favourite game was Rob the nest because you had to grab all of the balls from the middle and then when there was no more balls in the middle you had to take the balls from the other peoples nest. My last favourite game was the Sponge relay. Athletics day was one of the best days of my life!

Principal wanted

On Tuesday everyone in room 4 made their own Principal wanted poster.This is my one.I wrote can be boy or girl.I wrote that because our principal can't always be a boy and can't always be a girl.So that's why I wrote can be boy or girl.Then at the bottom of our poster's we had to write how our new principal had to be.I wrote Must be kid to all students.His/Her favorite room has to be Room 4.Has to be extremely smart and intelligent.But mostly responsible.

Tennis

  

Today Room 4 went to play tennis.We played tennis because it is our new kiwi sport.Our tennis instructor is Pete.Today we learned how to do serving.

Room 4`s Tree of Strength

This week Room 4 made a tree of strength`s at kiwi Can. We all got two green paper leaves for us to each draw our two strength`s on. There were all sorts of different strengths like...sports, art, singing, maths, reading and drums. My two strengths were reading and origami.

My New Cricket Bat

Today after morning tea two guys came from Auckland cricket and gave us some free cricket bats.Their names were Joseph and Casey.We had to decorate and design our new cricket bats because we were having a competition.After lunch we met them on the feild and we practised our cricket skills with them.I thought my new cricket bat was AWSOME.

Butterfly Creek

On the first week of the holidays me, my mum, my dad, and my little baby brother Cruden went to Butterfly Creek.When we arrived at the place the first thing we saw was a BIG blue dragon on top of the roof outside. Before we walked in we took some photos and then we walked in.When we walked in we had to go in the gift shop because that was where we had to get our bracelets from. After we got our bracelets we went to the butterfly’s cave. In the butterfly’s cave it was like a hot box and then a butterfly landed on my head. After a little while we went and got some lunch and then we went u home. It was so FUN!

Maths taller than, shorter than

We were learning to measure things taller, shorter, and things that are wider than other things. I learnt that some things are different length and height. 

Kiwi poem

We wrote a kiwi poem because our teacher was looking for a good kiwi poem but never found any good ones. We also did this because we were learning about kiwi.
