Homemade Xylaphone

I have tried today's SLJ Nano girl activity. It was fun to experiment with different types of sound, and play with the different volume and pitch.

  1. Good Morning Keira

This is a very fun activity to have completed. I can tell by your presentation that you really enjoyed making these items. The paper tubes was a style of xylophone that I hadn't thought of.

Good to read your other postings. Your SLJ is coming along really very well. Keep it up.

  2. Hi Keira,
Thank you for making such a great video - both of your instruments are amazing and show off your science knowledge as well as your engineering building skills.
I can't wait to see the results of your next Nanogirl experiment!

Ben here from the SLJ commenting team.

This is a great video. What I really enjoyed is your inhibited demonstration of the sounds made by the materials. I would do the same; give the glasses a decent whack to make some great sounds! There’s no point in being shy when it comes to making music :D.

Do you play any instruments other than the glasses and paper? Haha.

    Keep up the good work.
